Technical data:
The Libouchec is a hillside tunnel on the D8 motorway, running above a village of the same name. It consists of a pair of double-lane tubes. The western tunnel tube and eastern tunnel tube are 480m and 388m long, respectively. The tunnels are interconnected by two pedestrian cross passages. On the south, the tunnel links the Knínice viaduct, whereas it runs along a side-hill cut to the Panenská bridge and Panenská tunnel on the north. The tunnel was driven through a faulted gneiss crystalline system, with the excavation sequence consisting of a top heading and bench, without an invert. The theoretical excavated cross sectional area was 75m2 along the major part of the tunnel length. The net cross sectional area of the tunnel provided with cast-in-situ final lining is 57.0m2.

The Libouchec tunnels were opened to traffic on 21st December 2006.
