Conference information
The 11th International Conference UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION PRAGUE 2010, the main theme of which was transport and city tunnels, was held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, from 14th to 16th June 2010. It was organised by the ITA-AITES Czech Tunnelling Association.
The conference was held under the auspices of MUDr. Pavel Bém, the Lord Mayor of Prague, and the International Tunnelling Association.
The conference venue was Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, Freyova 33, Prague 9 - Vysočany.
The conference agenda was divided into six sections:
1. Design and implementation of underground constructions – conventional tunnelling and cut-and-cover tunnels
2. Design and implementation of underground constructions – mechanised tunnelling
3. Geotechnical investigation, monitoring and risk management
4. Modelling of underground structures
5. Equipment, safety and maintenance of underground structures
6. Contractual relationships, funding and insurance of underground structures
Part of the conference were also an abundantly participated technical exhibition, the poster section and four technical excursions.
