TECHNICAL DATA:

The line IV.B of the Prague metro used the driven double railway line tunnel for the first time. It is a continuation of two single-railway tunnel in the Lehovec area that were driven with an un-mechanized shield from the Hloubětín station.

The tunnel was driven using the New Austrian tunnelling method. The construction had several phases. During the tunnel driving, the primary lining was constructed from shot concrete first. An intermediate foil insulation was attached to the primary lining to ensure absolute water impermeability of the tunnel. The final tunnel lining is made of a monolithic concrete construction cast in moving form.
